Agunimon Spirit Evolution
This figure is fairly simple. There are no removeable parts (unless you want to tear his arms and legs off) aside from the red spirit plate he sits on. This is one of the reasons why he is still intact and not missing anything. Digivolution is complicated however, and being a mere spirit form is not even worth bothering with. It won't look any different than a crouched Agunimon.
Durability: It won't break at all if you don't cause damage to the joints. Keeping the plate in a safe place may be necessary if things easily go missing like mine, though...
Paint Job: Only a few small areas are unpainted, but unnoticeable.
Fun factor: He's prone to falling over, and not much fun if you expected two Digimon forms out of it.

Beetlemon Spirit Evolution
BlackAgumon
Part of the Blackwargreymon digivolving figure.
|
BlackwargreymonA new arrival from the U.S. He came in Blackagumon form and was a hard task to digivolve him at first. I still have trouble pulling the two sides of his head over his arms and getting the leg covers to stay hidden without making the chest unclip. Both forms look impressive, though and it is fun to transform them. He's better poseable as Blackwargreymon because Blackagumon falls over with such huge claws. His eyes are painted with slightly metallic gold paint and he has silvery claws.
Durability: Head sides can sometimes unclip. Blackwargreymon's belt has fallen off once. Other than Agumon falling over from weight, the figure is very stable standing up. Paint Job: Only small areas on Blackwargreymon were sacrificed in favour of BlackAgumon. Not noticeable. Fun Factor: As a major enemy and a super-strong mega, this figure is hard to find and looks great. Get one HERE for £89.30 |
Blackwargrowlmon
This is a very beautiful and rare figure, so rare that I always fail to find any pictures of one. I actually have THREE of these figures on order. One is a complete repair project, because it is missing lots of parts, the other two are fully boxed and mint. Can't wait to receive them and take a few pictures.

Gallantmon CM D-Real
This figure is quite impressive for not digivolving at all. The lack of joints and hinges is probably why it is so bulky and strong. It comes with a sword and a winged shield (which I lost... 'doh!) and has a pair of translucent wings. He has average balance, the wings stop him from falling over if his feet are uneven. He wasn't as greatly detailed as I had hoped, though.
Durability: For no reason, one of his wings is always falling out. There are two deep holes in his back for them to slot into, so it should be secure enough. As I mentioned, I've lost his shield. That's because his hands aren't joined at all and merely clasp over the accessories. You're better off taking the weapons off him and storing them somewhere safe.
Paint Job: A lot of unpainted areas, also is not metallic paint. The wings and accessory pieces are unpainted plastic.
Fun factor: Not fun if you want him to hold his sword and shield. Pretty nice looking, though.

Gargomon
|
RapidmonRapidmon is top-heavy and barely stands up properly. His guns make him unbalanced and you need to position them carefully so he does not fall over. The legs are ball-jointed and twist around which causes him to fall. The swivelling head never seems to stay in one place and looks strange in certain positions. As Gargomon, the shooting-action guns are great fun and the detail on the ammo belt and face is better than Kyubimon and Growlmons paint details.
Durability: Falls over too much, causing damage to the legs and ears. Mine have snapped and one of the foot joints have crumbled. The head is also loose enough to be pulled out. Paint Job: Much better than the other two figures. Fun factor: The shooting guns make this the best Digimon toy of the season. It's a shame it doesn't stand up. Get one HERE for £40.66 |
Growlmon
|
WargrowlmonThis figure is full of clips and bolts which are all a pain to put together. Upon opening this figure from the box, I could not get the back section to close the atomic blaster inside. I had to unclip it (which was actually painful for me) and store it in a drawer because it would not go back in. Building the blaster around his neck is just as difficult. There are two tiny holes on his shoulders for the blaster to slot into. There is also a clip joining the two pieces together. I could not get them to sink into the holes, and constant forcing has caused one of the pins to snap so now it will not fix together at all. His arm blades have the same problem, but much worse. They are made from a weak gummy plastic which flakes when pressure is put on it. Trying to squash the pins into the holes will damage them so badly that they will not last long.
Durability: Don't play with it much at all. It's very fragile to transform. Paint Job: Lots of tiny decals are unpainted. The black atomic symbols are missing. Fun factor: You would be disappointed if you were a child with this toy. It wouldn't last longer than a week. Get one HERE for £47.57 |
Halsemon Digi-Egg
He's sturdy looking, but his back and front legs are weakly jointed. The claws underneath his wings are at risk of falling off, as mine have done once already having only just opened it new from the box. To digivolve him to the Digi-egg, you have to shorten his stomach, press his ears in and fold his legs and tail up. But when you need to flip the wings over, they can become loose. His head has no moveable parts.
Durability: Bad for being a newly opened product. Even worse for having very few moveable parts.
Paint Job: The base colour is a very bright red, the wrong colour for Halsemon. There are no sections unpainted.
Fun factor: Halsemon's Digi-egg form looks weird but it's fine on its own.

Imperialdramon DM
My Imperialdramon is second-hand as you can see. He is missing his wings and cannons unfortunately. I bought it from a car boot sale a while ago. If I had a complete version, I would give it a better review. I can only assume that he is missing lots of parts because they were not well secured to start with.
Durability: Don't know because mine was already broken. If I had a complete one, it probably wouldn't break anyway. Paint Job: Everything I could notice was painted. The claws are a metallic sheen-type plastic. Fun factor: Would've been an awesome figure with guns and wings. I must buy a new one... Get one HERE for £7.50 or more. |

Kabuterimon

HerculesKabuterimon
I bought this one second-hand because I had never seen one like it. In fact, I haven't seen one for sale since. It only has a horn missing which doesn't matter to me. The toy overall is very weak-limbed. Its arms get in the way when trying to transform it and the main supporting legs often bend underneath, but it's much larger than any of the figures I have.
Durability: Weak. The arms, legs and wings constantly fall off. Paint Job: Everything is painted, no missed details. Fun factor: Digivolving it back to Kabuterimon takes long enough to call it a task. It's great for posing. Get one HERE for £33.05 |
KaiserLeomon Digi-Warrior
This is the Digi-warrior action figure and not the spirit evolving version. It's supposed to do a chomp-action with its jaws when you press the button on the back, but I only can see the head moving slightly. It fails as an action figure.
Durability: It took only a few hours for its head to slip off the clip inside it. The legs are ball-jointed and tail is bolted in. Its tail looks like it could easily snap.
Paint Job: There are a lot of unpainted details. I was hugely disappointed at the quality, I expected these Digi-warriors to be better painted.
Fun factor: Would've been more fun if it worked properly.

Kendogarurumon Digi-Warrior
As one of my top favourite Digimon, I was happy when this figure finally arrived. It's a great action figure despite the enormous amount of unpainted detail. I love the slicing wing mechanism and its metallic blue highlights. The back legs are a bit loose but won't fall off unless you want to force them out of the socket. The wings can become twisted behind the plastic panels on its tail and cause damage to the mechanism.
Durability: Have had no major problems with it yet, only the loose leg joint and awkward mechanism.
Paint Job: Very poor. It looks like the manufacturers tried to use as little paint as possible and hoping he'd be completely white in design.
Fun factor: It works fine for most of the time, but its head doesn't move.

KyubimonThis has to be the heaviest, most fragile figure I have ever owned (and seen). Counting all, it has eight pieces that can be detached, not including the neck decoration. The trouser legs don't clip onto Taomon properly so have to be completely removed from the tail. The arms tucked away inside the center tails look ugly and do not hide great. After years of use, the bolts in the sides of its legs have gotten weaker and the feet fall off. Early on, the clip on its neck decoration crumbled away and was unrepairable.
Durability: Lots of pieces to fall off. Take care with the clips, as these can't be repaired if they snap. Paint Job: Season three figures had the most awful paint jobs. Kyubimon is missing colour on her feet, tail, stomach, legs and face. Basically, everywhere is unpainted. Fun factor: When I was younger this was my first ever Digimon figure. I thought it was the most awesome toy I have ever owned. It's one of the rarest in my collection. Get one HERE for £47.57 |

Loweemon Digi-Warrior
This Digi-warrior does more than Kaiserleomon and Kendogarurumon. He comes with a shield and staff, and does a slicing motion when a button is pressed on his back. Next to BurningGreymon, this figure is one of the best. It isn't mine however, so I didn't get a chance to assess the paint quality or how easily broken it is.

Submarimon Digi-egg
A well built, strong feeling figure for once. The whole range of Digiegg figures were lacking in quality, but this one is very well built. Even down to very small details, this item is accurate. As with all Digi-egg transformers, the 'egg' part of it is quite miserably attempting to look like the thing in the tv show (at least it's not a crouched-over Halsemon) but the Submarimon form is great. It has had some problems with the feet falling off, since they need to be twisted around to turn them from yellow to blue, but being on ball-joints makes them very likely to slip out of socket. In all, this is the very best that the Season Two toy range could be.
Durability: It feels like a tank; everything is tightly fitted, even the detachable head is held on securely with a clip. Any ball joints on ANY toy is likely to cause a problem later on, however.
Paint Job: Apart from some colours being a little darker than the official Bandai/Toei artwork, this item's paintwork is very much exact.
Fun Factor: There's a gap inside this toy where you could hide a smaller figurine to play 'submarines' with it, just like it does in the tv show. Transforming into the Digi-egg is very simple.

3 Inch Action Feature Figurines
These figurines are smaller and have less 'poseable' limbs and parts, but in most cases they are much better molded and painted than their larger, digivolving versions. My reviews of these figurines will not take into account how small they are. The final score will not reflect their size, but their function, strength and likeness to the Bandai official art.

How to find these items
There is a high chance you will find them on Ebay. However, auction sites come with high risk too, so many prefer to use shopping cart websites like Amazon to buy from. After years of purchases from Amazon, I have only ever bought three figures from there. You won't find the one you're looking for because you won't find any. If you do resort to Ebay, pay extra for package insurance. Also add shipping to the total to see if you can afford it. A further note: Digimon figures on Ebay are HUGELY overpriced. Good luck getting a cheap one.
Digi-Action Calendar
If this calendar works, I will not need to post updates for when figures will arrive in this gallery. If not, It would be better to make a forum Proboard and use the calendar system there.
