What is it that you want from an online shop? Why do people prefer to purchase from internet stores rather than physical departments? It's choice, and so much of it. Not just that, but price as well. I'm certain that despite denial, all shops pass on bills such as rent, power, taxes from licenses onto customers through increasing product prices. Considering whether buying online is worth it when taking into account shipping costs and potential customs charges, it is unlikely to be more expensive than buying from a real shop. In some rare cases where websites are ridiculously overpriced and shops are cheap, it may turn out that in that part of the world where the item is being sold from, it is quite a rare thing, and the real shop may have a promotional discount, making the website's pricing unreasonable. Yes; in that case, it would be best to buy it physically. That's why you must research first before making a purchase.

What Website?
It doesn't always have to be Ebay or Amazon. Those are the biggest gatherings of selllers, but not at all the cheapest. Winning a cheap Ebay product is lucky, but crazy collectors might fight you over the price you would want to pay. A note; maybe not the cheapest, but definitely the best in terms of customer protection against frauds, so nothing can compare to that. I know I would pay a little extra to be guaranteed a safe purchase. It's a myth that Ebay is a dangerous place to do shopping; you are offered far more protections over your money than any other website i've bought items from, which is why Paypal is absolutely necessary (or Moneybookers, but I haven't ever had to request a reversal from them before). Foreign websites don't always exclude you just because of where you live, maybe if you can't read their terms and conditions, or you can't communicate with the sellers. Here is where I will feature a website I've made purchases from in the past; http://www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/
They will ship to anywhere in the world, even if you can't read the website to make an order. Just send an email in your language and they will respond. (For a full guide on ordering from Falcom, please read 'Order Forms' below.)

Rakuten Global: Merchandise from China and Japan, from sellers worldwide condensed into one website. Currently, I have not yet used this website before, so I cannot say for certain if it is good value or reliable. I haven't heard of anything bad happening to buyers of Rakuten, however.
